I have severe lymphedema in left leg and some in right leg resulting from cancer surgery in 08. Joined this community to find others with the problem and see what results they are having. I wear compression stockings 30-40 weight, use a pump, and my husband also wraps my legs when I don't plan to leave the house. Once in a blue moon the problem seems to be under control for a short period of time, but then blows up again. Is there anyone else with similar problem?

I inherited and i only weight 145 lbs but my foot ankle looks and feels like it weight 500lbs. I never had chemo or cancer treatment and I an in my 50's and feet been swelling for years. I thought I had heart problems, gaunt. I wear long pants everyday and cannot enjoy summer because I am too embrassed and can hardly fit a shoe. After many years of swollen ankles foot finally a vascular dr inform me of my issue. However, they told me to buy 20-30 mg compression socks and sent me out the dr with no referrals or no onow to treat. Today I found this website and ordered the sock . The toe on this wrap is out as I was so tired of my toes being covered all day. I pray it helps with the swelling. It's hard to wear shoes. less

Rossana ZemekDoes any one wear the lymphedema arm sleeve? Do you know how long they are 'good' for? I've had mine for two years and am very active...should I be replacing it sooner than two years?

How are the standards for wrapping swollen limbs made? Is there any provision for public or patient input and comment about future revisions?

Staff Certified Lymphedema TherapistDo you all run support groups for your lymph patients? If not, consider doing them once in a while, as it is a great opportunity to get your patients together to talk and meet each other in a relaxing environment!
