Cynthia Barry I work part time in an outpatient setting in NY State. Currently, there is one OT who is also a CLT. Can we share patients, ie. she sees them3 days and I see them 2 days? If so, do you know the best way to set up charts and/or billing?

What we do is have 2 separate IE's on the chart so that the billing can be done through the OT or PT charges. The only time this does not work is when the insurance requires authorization for treatment. They will only authorize one or the other for the same diagnosis. It can be done for all else, just be sure of what their insurance requires. Good luck!
