Went to physical therapy which had hardly any effect and to this day wear a compression garment on my arm and hand most of the day and night.  It's a small price to pay - I'm glad to be alive - but would love to learn some new ideas on controlling the swelling. Can't wait to start to chat with the community!! Merry Christmas to all!

Controlling the edema for most people is an individual thing and a constant challenge. WE as lymphedema therapists are here to support you the entire way, however. In my personal experience, some of my women have to come regularly for MLD (once a week) in order to maintain good control. You may want to reach out again to a clinic in your area to see if that is something they can do for you. Stay in touch!
