I went through 2 weeks of treatment in January and now wear a gauntlet and sleeve.  I'm starting to see a little improvement.  My question concerns insurance reimbursement for compression  garments.  My ins. company covered the gauntlet but refused to cover the sleeve because it wasn't pre-approved.  The problem may lie in the code that was used to submit the claim.  I remember reading on a lymphedema website about other people having code issues and there was information about the 'correct' code.  Does anyone have that information?  Thanks!!  less

Find out if the DME that ordered the garments got the proper authorization ahead of time. Most DME's that deal with insurance should know to do this already. Most DME's that deal with insurance should know to do this already. Talk to your therapist and DME about this. Good luck!
