I was finally diagnosed with Lymphedema in both legs back in December of 2012 thanks to a wonderful attentive neurologist. I have had two sessions of therapy with a Lymphedema therapist and am very lucky to have a clinic and compression garment shop close to where I live.  After talking with the Lymphedema therapists I now know that both grandmothers had this as well as my father.  We just had our first very warm day of the new year and I have noticed that my left arm is slightly larger than my right arm.  My left leg is worse as far as the Lymphedema is concerned.  Can you suddenly develop LE in your arm and hand even if you have never had it before and have never had any surgeries there?  I am wondering if I need to make an appointment to have this checked out.  I have tried diuretics and it is doing absolutely nothing for the swelling of the arm and that is why I am asking this questions.  Thanks.  less

    Staff Certified Lymphedema Therapist Do you have a cardiologist that can do a full workup? Maybe you should start there. Good luck!
