  • Liisa Mayo
Liisa Mayo A patient that has had a complete hysterectomy about 3 weeks ago with some lymphnodes removed has developed a seroma. The seroma requires draining. Is MLD appropriate and if so when? Thanks for any info and or guidance.

Staff Certified Lymphedema Therapist Her doctor will most likely want her seroma to heal after having it drained. I would follow up with her after the draining and see how things are going. If there isn't lymphedema elsewhere, maybe just education and light compression per her comfort.
