My legs and feet are very big, hurt and burn constantly, especially when I try to sleep. It's horrible.
I want to try one of the wraps, but I can't afford them. My lymphedema is in BOTH legs, so i would need TWO, plus custom due to my size. We are talking hundreds, maybe thousands. I'm lucky to scrape up $50 for a regular pair, being on disability.
Could I wear my regular pair of compression hose OVER a pair of regular (diabetic) socks? To ease the pain of the material digging in to my skin?
ANY suggestions PLEASE, I have been looking on the internet for months, spoke to 2 doctors and a specialist. I cannot get any help. Thank you so much in advance...  less

tina mohr I will try, I wasn't able to find a therapist nearby, not within 4 hour from me. In any event, I am sure I will not be able to afford it, nor will Medicare cover it, as I had checked that also.

Staff Certified Lymphedema Therapist Medicare does cover therapy and the treatment involved with lymphedema. they just don't cover garments. This is an ongoing issue amongst the lymphedema community.
