My surgery (lumpectomy) was in 1985. Recently I had an infection at the lumpectomy site and now am experiencing lympedema in the arm involving the entire arm down to the tips of my fingers.I am being treated by an OT with Lyphedema training and experience. She is massaging the lymph glalnd areas and then applying wraps to the arm to reduce the swelling. She says that when the arm has been reduced in size she will have me fitted for a wrap. My question is: her lymph massage is very short, only 30 seconds in each area for a total of about 4 or 5 minutes at the most. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for and help and suggestions.  less
