Staff Certified Lymphedema Therapist Sounds like you made an accurate determination already. Since the pain was present prior to starting tx it doesn't seem to be related to the CDT. Just in case, I would make sure that you are adequately padding this area with cellona for increased comfort.

  • Julie Deane Hi! I'm a therapist. If there any therapists that can help me i'd appreciate it. i'm working with a 25yr old female primary LE patient. She has LE in her lower leg, feet, ankles and toes. She has very small pudgy toes. Since the start of treatment, she has complained about the toe wraps that when she is lying down she feels throbbing pain. She takes the toe wraps off. I thought maybe i made them to tight but each visit I make them looser and looser and she still has this problem. i decided to try the toe caps and they were apparently worse than it all...throbbing like crazy and pain causing tears. she took the cap off. Has this happened to anyone before, any suggestions?? Any help is appreciated!
