It is an integral part of reducing volume and daily maintenance of LE though. Sounds like you have been dealing with LE now for just over 6 months? If your therapist feels your LE is under good control and you have had optimal reduction in volume through the MLD /CDT intensive, you should discuss obtaining a nighttime garment to replace the frustration and difficulty of short stretch bandaging every night. There are many garments available from various vendors. The JoviPak, Solaris Tribute, Reid Sleeve, Circaid Sleeve and many others. I personally use the JoviPak which resembles a huge oven mitt that extends from your fingertips to your shoulder. It is custom fitted and has a stockingnet type sleeve that fits over it to keep the compression level correct. I find it extremely comfortable to wear and only takes 2 min to pull it on. Here is the link to their website: http://www.jovipak.com/ I don't sell them....I'm just a happy customer btw.. I also use Jobst compression glove and sleeve during the day.  less

Six chemotherapy treatments ("TAC") at three-week intervals; no radiation; simple right breast prophylactic mastectomy 29 Aug 08; Tamoxifen prescribed for five years. Left arm lymphedema appreared six weeks after second mastectomy. Internal medicine doctor prescribed diuretics for the problem. NOT!! I went back to the surgeon and was referred to an Occ Therapist (Dec 08) trained in manual lymph drainage and compression wrapping of fingers to arm pit.

I am now using a Jobst compression sleeve (20/30) and gauntlet during the day. I am having difficulty wrapping my arm every night. I am looking for a better solution than these nightly wrappings!    less
