Bandaging post knee surgery for non lymphedema

  • I hope it is ok to ask this question here.  I am a lymphedema therapist, although I have been home taking care of toddler for a while now.  This is a personal question about my own care, however.

I don't have lymphedema, but will shortly undergo ACL reconstructive surgery.  Wondering if lymphedema bandaging techniques would help decrease swelling post surgery?  Typically ACE elastic bandages are recommended from ankle to above knee, and also compression socks.  Any thoughts?

    All insights welome.  Thank you!
