managing LE

  •  I have LE in my left lower leg , the result of 7 surgeries on my left knee since 2004.  My right leg did also swell, but it resolved quickly.  I went to a fabulous therapist, who worked with massage and wrapping over a year, and the horrible edema came down,  Now I wear the compression stockings during the day, and if it starts looking bigger I wrap it for a day or two.  My grandmother had serious LE and spent her last years sitting in a horrible chair due to terrible RA.  Needless to say, there was no treatment back in those days.  The worst part is feeling so uncomfortable when you're out in public and you get the "what the hell is that?" stare.  It always gave me shame and embarrassment.  I just found this site, and am grateful for it's existence.
